Privacy Notice
This notice explains information handling for the Vacuum Glass Australia website, secure customer and staff portal, and related communication and shipment-tracking services.
Updated 7 October 2026
These policies describe this public marketing website. Product supply and project-specific arrangements may also be governed by separate documents provided for the transaction.
1. Scope
This notice applies to the public Vacuum Glass Australia website and its secure customer and staff portal. Authorised VGA staff provision individual accounts and customer-business access. There is no public account signup.
Questions about information held by VGA can be sent to VGAorders@bmsydney.com.
2. Accounts, business records and login
The portal handles account details such as name, email address, role and customer-business membership, along with the orders, shipment references, customer updates and documents made available to that account. Staff also manage operational records and access permissions.
Supabase provides authentication, the database and private document storage. Login uses authentication session cookies and browser session information to maintain access and support sign-in and password recovery. Customer access is limited to the customer businesses assigned to that individual account.
3. Hosting, analytics and maps
Vercel hosts the website, and Railway hosts the shipment-tracking worker. Hosting and network services may process technical request, security and diagnostic information, such as IP address, browser details, requested URL and timestamp, to deliver and protect the services.
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights are integrated into the application to measure page usage and performance. These services may process page URLs, browser and device information, and performance measurements on public and authenticated pages. Their information handling is subject to the relevant service arrangements.
The contact page includes store maps supplied by Google. When a map loads or you open it in Google Maps, your browser connects to Google and may send technical information such as your IP address, browser details, referring site and map request. Google handles that information under its own terms and privacy arrangements.
4. Communications and shipment tracking
If you contact VGA using an email address or telephone number shown on the website, the information you choose to provide is handled through the relevant communication providers and VGA’s business systems rather than by a website form.
Resend provides transactional email for account setup, password recovery and order updates. Sending those messages involves processing recipient email addresses, message content and delivery information.
FindTEU receives shipment references such as container numbers to obtain movement evidence and freight estimates. Tracking information is linked to the relevant shipment and order in the portal. VGA staff remain responsible for confirming customer-visible order stages.
Provide only the information needed for your enquiry. Plans, photographs and schedules may contain personal or confidential information, so remove unrelated material and confirm an appropriate transfer method before sending sensitive files.
5. Use and sharing
Information may be used to respond to enquiries, discuss specifications, prepare quotations, manage individual access, fulfil and track orders, provide documents and send related service messages. Relevant information is available to authorised VGA staff and service providers where needed for those purposes or where required or permitted by law.
The services described above process information under their respective service arrangements, which may involve processing outside Australia. Contact VGA for information about a particular record or service.
6. Security and retention
VGA takes reasonable steps appropriate to the information and systems it uses. No communication or storage system can promise absolute security.
Account, order, document, communication and tracking records are retained as needed for business, support, security and lawful recordkeeping purposes, then securely destroyed or de-identified where appropriate and permitted. Service providers may also retain technical and delivery records under their service arrangements.
7. Access, correction and concerns
To ask about information held by VGA, request access or correction, or raise a privacy concern, email VGAorders@bmsydney.com. Describe the relevant record or issue and your preferred contact details; do not send passwords or identity documents unless a secure and necessary verification process has been agreed.
Applicable privacy and other legal rights remain available independently of this notice.
8. Changes
The date above identifies the current version. VGA will review this notice when its services or information-handling practices change.
